ArcTanGent 2027 starts big with Blood Incantation, Neurosis and a one-off Wildhearts prog set

ArcTanGent has put the first pieces of its 2027 line-up on the board - and two of the most requested bands in the festival’s history are finally getting their turn at the top.

Blood Incantation will headline Thursday, with Neurosis taking the headline slot on Saturday, leading a first wave that already stretches to 43 acts.

And if those two names weren’t enough to start planning next August around, there are a couple of sets on this announcement that you’re unlikely to see anywhere else.

The Wildhearts are going prog

Among the biggest surprises is The Wildhearts, who won’t just be playing the usual festival set.

They’ll be performing what ArcTanGent is billing as a special, one-off progressive set, created specifically for the festival.

Ginger certainly isn’t underselling it either, promising that “jaws will drop, minds will blow and joy will abound.”

Then there’s Employed To Serve, who will mark the tenth anniversary of The Warmth of a Dying Sun with a special anniversary performance.

Elsewhere in the first announcement are SLIFT, The Ocean, Messa, Holy Fawn, Lowen, If These Trees Could Talk, Crown Lands, Sadness, A Forest Of Stars, Crash Of Rhinos, Múr and plenty more.

In other words, this already looks unmistakably like an ArcTanGent line-up.

Wednesday is filling up early too

Anyone going for the full four-day experience already has a sizeable Wednesday waiting for them.

Conjurer, MØL, Psychonaut, Din Of Celestial Birds, IAN, L.O.E., Ronker, WORN OUT and Zatokrev have all been announced for the early-entry day.

Festival organiser James Scarlett said the idea was to bring back some of the acts that drew particularly strong crowds in 2026 as part of the opening day at the festival’s new home.

That means Wednesday is looking a lot less like a gentle warm-up and much more like another full day of ATG.

A new home for ArcTanGent

There’s another major change awaiting everyone in 2027.

After leaving Fernhill Farm, ArcTanGent is moving to Todenham Manor Farm, near Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire, for the first time in the festival’s history.

The organisers say the new site will retain the familiar compact arena layout, indoor stages and overall capacity, while giving campers more space. The Main Stage, Yohkai, Bixler and PX3 stages are all set to return.

The main festival runs from Thursday, the 19th to Saturday, the 21st of August 2027, with Wednesday, the 18th of August available as the early-entry day for four-day ticket holders.

So while the surroundings may be changing, ATG clearly isn’t using the move as an excuse to play things safe.
