ABOUT FESTPOD

Coverage focused on the experience of being there.

Festpod is an independent rock and metal media outlet covering the festivals, artists and communities that shape the UK festival scene.

Through original reporting, interviews, podcasts and video, we cover what happens on stage, behind the scenes and everywhere in between.

Not Just Announcements

A festival is more than its line-up.

We report the news and talk to the artists, but we’re just as interested in what happens when thousands of people arrive in a field for a weekend.

The stages, the campsites, the people, the unexpected moments and occasionally the complete chaos - that’s part of the story too.

Who It’s For

If you’ve ever planned a weekend around a festival line-up, discovered your new favourite band halfway down a bill, or stood in a field wondering why you didn’t bring better waterproofs, you’re probably in the right place.

Festpod is made for people who love rock and metal festivals - whether you’re counting down to the next one or recovering from the last.

FROM FESTIVAL FIELDS AND BEYOND

Since launching in 2020, Festpod has covered festivals across the UK and beyond - from some of the biggest names on the calendar to independent events building something new.

We’ve reported from festival fields, interviewed artists backstage and even taken Festpod out to sea for Mediterranea Metal Cruise.

Big or small, we’re interested in festivals with a story worth telling.

MEET FESTPOD

Neill Wilkinson

Neill Wilkinson

Neill has worked in broadcasting since the 2000s, from community and local radio to podcasts and television. A lifelong rock fan and festival regular, he started Festpod to combine his love of broadcasting with spending far too much time in fields listening to loud music.

Rich Holmes

Rich Holmes

Rich studied Journalism and Radio Production and cut his teeth in broadcasting covering Wrexham AFC long before Hollywood came calling. His quick wit, questionable humour and love of rock and metal make him an essential part of Festpod.

Arran Prime

Arran Prime

Arran is the frontman for Crushed By Waves and is well known on the rock and metal scene for his high-energy performances. His unending enthusiasm for music and chatting is a natural fit for Festpod.
