Novacaine Festival 2026 Line-Up: As Everything Unfolds, Tropic Gold Announced
Novacaine Festival 2026 - first wave of bands
The countdown to Novacaine Festival 2026 is officially underway, with the Sheffield alternative event announcing its first wave of bands for its return to The Corporation this November.
Festpod will be keeping a close eye on this one, and for good reason. One of the UK’s fastest-rising alternative festivals is gearing up for its second outing, and it’s already showing signs of levelling up.
Sheffield’s rapidly rising Novacaine Festival is back for 2026, and if its debut was anything to go by, this isn’t one to sleep on.
Returning to The Corporation on the 28th of November, the alternative all dayer has unveiled its first wave of acts, led by post-hardcore heavyweights As Everything Unfolds.
Fresh off the release of their third album Did You Ask To Be Set Free, the band’s trajectory has been steadily climbing, with major festival slots already under their belt. Landing a headline slot here feels less like a gamble and more like smart timing.
Joining them near the top of the bill are Tropic Gold, whose high-energy, rock-driven sound and growing fanbase make them a strong fit for a festival clearly aiming to punch above its weight.
Elsewhere, TheCityIsOurs and FOXHAUNT round out the first announcement, reinforcing Novacaine’s focus on blending established names with emerging acts that are ready to step up.
And that balance is kind of the whole point. After a near sell out debut in October 2025 featuring names like The Five Hundred and Bleed Again, Novacaine quickly positioned itself as more than just another new festival trying its luck. There’s a clear intent to build something sustainable, rooted in the UK scene, and give newer bands a proper platform without diluting the experience for fans.
2026 looks like the next step in that plan.
Organiser Scott O’Shea has made it clear that the ambition isn’t just growth for the sake of it, but to build something that gives back to the same community that got it off the ground in the first place. That includes continuing the opportunities for up-and-coming artists, as well as bringing back familiar faces like compere Robert Fulton-Hamilton, who helped shape the atmosphere of the debut event.
It’s also worth noting the setting, The Corporation, hits its 25th anniversary this year, and there’s something quite fitting about a newer festival planting its flag in one of the UK’s most established independent venues.
Early bird tickets are already on sale at £25, which, let’s be honest, is borderline a no-brainer for a bill like this, even at this stage. More acts are still to be announced, so this is very much just the starting point.
If Novacaine sticks the landing on this second outing, it won’t be long before it stops being described as “up-and-coming” and starts being treated as a serious fixture on the UK alternative calendar.
