If you like your P.O.D. at their heaviest, you’re going to want to hear this one.

The band have teamed up with Norma Jean vocalist Cory Brandan for new single “OUTBREAK” - their first new original music since 2024 album VERITAS.

And subtle it is not.

P.O.D. vocalist Sonny Sandoval reckons it could be “one of the heaviest songs P.O.D. has ever written”, which probably tells you most of what you need to know.

It also explains why Cory Brandan is here.

P.O.D. and Norma Jean got to know each other properly while touring together in the US in 2024, and when Marcos Curiel came up with the riff for “OUTBREAK”, the band knew they wanted another voice that could match the weight of it.

Then there’s the theme.

The demo already had the working title “OUTBREAK”, the riff had that warning-siren, everything-is-going-wrong feel to it, and the band are big fans of zombie films and games.

So yes - they went full apocalypse.

The track was produced by Will Yip, whose previous work includes Turnstile and Code Orange, and there’s a frantic zombie-filled video to go with it.

Fair warning before you press play: there are a few moments in the video that some viewers may find disturbing.
